- To Improve Our Website and Services: To analyze website use, review calls and chats for quality assurance and training, and improve how we serve you.
- Advertising: To measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show you relevant ads on other websites and platforms (see Selling and Sharing of Personal Information below).

Sensitive Information
When you contact us about elder law, Medicaid, estate planning, or similar matters, you may choose to share information about your health, finances, or family. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry and provide our services. We do not use the contents of your chats, calls, or form submissions for advertising. Please do not share confidential details until you have spoken with an attorney.
Live Chat
Our website offers a live chat feature operated by a third-party service provider on our behalf. When you use live chat, the contents of your conversation, along with your name, contact details, and technical information (such as IP address and pages viewed), are recorded, stored, and shared with that provider and with Mortellaro Law. Before a chat begins, you will be asked to consent to this recording. If you do not consent, please contact us by phone or email instead. Chatting with us does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing in a chat is legal advice.
Phone Calls and Call Recording
We use a call tracking service to understand how callers find us. Phone numbers displayed on our website and in our advertising may route through a third-party call tracking provider. Calls to these numbers may be recorded and transcribed for quality assurance and training, and to respond to your inquiry. You will hear a notice at the start of the call that it may be recorded. If you do not wish to be recorded, please tell us at the start of the call or contact us by email. Call recordings, transcripts, and caller information are stored securely with restricted access and are shared only with service providers who help us operate this service.
How We Store and Protect Your Information
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure, including:
- Encryption: Your data, including payment details and PII, is encrypted during transmission and storage.
- Access Controls: Access to your data, including call recordings and chat transcripts, is limited to authorized personnel who need it to perform their duties.
- Data Retention: We keep your personal information, including chat transcripts and call recordings, only as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and meet legal obligations. Payment data is retained as required by law for auditing purposes and securely deleted afterward.
If a data breach occurs, we will notify affected individuals promptly and take steps to reduce the risk.
How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with trusted third parties, including:
- Service Providers: Companies that help us operate our business and website, including payment processing, website hosting, IT support, live chat, call tracking and recording, and analytics providers. These providers must handle your data securely and in line with applicable laws.
- Advertising Partners: Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, which receive information through cookies and pixels to measure and deliver our ads (see Selling and Sharing of Personal Information below).
- Legal Compliance: Law enforcement or other government authorities when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Selling and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our website uses advertising cookies and pixels from partners such as Google and Meta. These partners may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, and the pages you visit, and use it to show you our ads on other websites and platforms. Some U.S. state privacy laws treat this as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising.
You can opt out at any time by visiting our Opt-out Preferences page, which is also linked from the cookie banner on every page. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal from your browser as a request to opt out.

- Necessary: Required for the website to function. These are always active.
- Statistics: Help us understand how visitors use our website (for example, Google Analytics).
- Marketing: Allow advertising partners such as Google and Meta to measure our ads and show you relevant ads on other websites and platforms.
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner explains how we use these technologies. You can opt out of statistics and marketing technologies at any time through the cookie banner or our Opt-out Preferences page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although this may affect some website features.
