Michelangelo Mortellaro, Esq., is the founding attorney of Mortellaro Law, a premier estate planning and elder law firm serving families across Florida. Dedicated to community education, Mr. Mortellaro is a member of the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), a nonprofit promoting financial literacy nationwide. He frequently leads workshops on estate planning, asset protection, and long-term care strategies. He is a regular guest speaker at the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Center and Research Institute—one of the nation’s leading memory care and research facilities. He has also been a contributor for various media outlets and other professional organizations in the senior care industry.

Jason D. Berger

Jason D. Berger

In 1998, Mr. Berger graduated from the University of Florida, College of Law with honors. He proudly served the people of the State of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney for 11 years, 8 years of which he served as a supervising attorney. In 2010, Mr. Berger opened his law practice, and since that time the Law Office of Jason D. Berger has proudly served the people of the Treasure Coast of Florida.

Education

Attorney Berger received his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law with honors in 1998.

Ryan Edmiston, Esq.

Ryan M. Edmiston graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 2017. Prior to joining Mortellaro Law, Mr. Edmiston practiced across a broad range of legal disciplines, including criminal law, appellate advocacy, administrative litigation, and transactional law, with an emphasis on contract drafting, review, and negotiation. Drawing on his diverse background and meticulous attention to detail, Mr. Edmiston crafts comprehensive and protective estate plans tailored to meet the unique needs of the families served by Mortellaro Law.

Diana C. Zolner, Esq.

Diana C. Zolner, Esq. is a Board Certified Elder Law Attorney whose practice is dedicated to helping families plan with clarity and confidence. She earned her Juris Doctor from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2001 and is admitted to practice law in both New York and Florida. She is Board Certified in Elder Law by the Florida Bar – a distinction that reflects substantial experience, peer recognition, and advanced knowledge in the field.

Throughout her career, Ms. Zolner has focused on estate planning, Medicaid planning, asset protection, and trust and estate administration. She understands that Elder Law is not simply about documents – it about guiding families through some of life’s most sensitive and emotional decisions with compassion, clarity, and practical solutions.

 As a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (AFELA), Ms. Zolner remains actively engaged in the evolving legal landscape affecting seniors and individuals with special needs.  She is committed to providing thoughtful counsel that protects her clients’ assets, dignity and peace of mind

Keria Hicks, Esq.

Keria Hicks, Esq., is a dedicated attorney in the Florida Panhandle committed to empowering individuals and families through strategic, client-centered legal representation. A graduate of the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, she provided pro bono advocacy through the Whistleblower Clinic and the General Practice Clinic for Family Law, building a strong foundation in service-driven lawyering. Keria went on to serve as an Assistant State Attorney in the 14th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she gained valuable courtroom and litigation experience. In 2024, she founded her solo estate planning firm with a mission to equip clients with clarity, confidence, and control over their legacy.
